Organic peas are one of the oldest legumes cultivated by mankind, dating back to the Stone Age. Archaeological findings show that peas were cultivated in Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome, where they were an important part of the daily diet. In Lithuania, peas also have a long tradition of being grown in villages and used for both everyday dishes and festive meals.
Peas are valued for their high content of protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals, making them an excellent choice for a balanced diet. They provide a lasting feeling of satiety.
Organic peas are widely used in soups, stews, porridges, salads and vegetable dishes. They are also used to make flour, spreads or even vegetable protein products. Thanks to its nutritional value and versatility, organic peas remain a valuable and often chosen agricultural crop in modern cuisine.
