Preparation
Rinse the seeds of Burnotis in running water. Pour two parts water over one part of the mouthfuls and cook over a low heat for about 35 minutes, then leave to stand for about 15 minutes.
They can be used as a base for salads, stir-fry dishes or can be served as a side dish.
Attention
Burdock seeds contain oxalates. People prone to kidney stones should consume amaranth seeds in moderation and drink enough water to reduce the risk.
Some people may be allergic to amaranth.
