The macadamia nut is a round, hard-shelled nut originating in Australia, where it grows naturally and was consumed by the local Aborigines. Macadamia nuts have a mild, buttery taste and a crunchy but soft texture. They are highly nutritious – rich in healthy monounsaturated fats, protein, fibre and vitamins.
