Traditionally used in Persian, Ayurvedic and Mediterranean medicine, pistachios are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, due to their high content of healthy fats, fibres, vitamins and minerals.<\/p>\n<p>Pistachios are commonly used as a snack or in desserts, salads, sauces, and can also be processed into oil or food supplements. The recommended daily intake is about 30 grams (a handful), although up to 60-70 grams can be consumed under professional supervision. <\/p>\n<p>NOTE.
